Measure a hoodie you already love
Choose a hoodie that fits the way you want this one to fit. Lay it flat on a level surface, smooth out wrinkles, and avoid stretching the fabric. Use the same unit for every measurement.
- Chest width: measure straight across the front from one underarm seam to the other. Record this as a flat width, not a body circumference.
- Body length: measure from the high point of the shoulder beside the neckline down to the bottom hem.
- Sleeve length: if there is a shoulder seam, measure from it along the sleeve to the cuff. For a raglan sleeve, record the neckline-to-cuff measurement separately.
Compare like with like
Keep these measurements for when the verified supplier chart is available. Its measuring method may differ, so check the instructions before comparing. Garment measurements and body measurements are not interchangeable.
